Overview
- Soft, sterile, non-woven ribbon made from sodium carboxymethylcellulose
- Impregnated with 1.2% ionic silver, EDTA, and benzethonium chloride
- Strengthened by regenerated cellulose fibre
- Absorbs high amounts of wound fluid and bacteria
- Creates a soft, cohesive gel conforming to wound surface
- Maintains a moist environment and aids in autolytic debridement
- Supports the body's healing process and reduces risk of wound infection
- Ionic silver kills pathogenic microorganisms, including those in biofilms
- Disrupts and absorbs biofilm, prevents formation/reformation
- Increases efficiency of silver transfer to microorganisms
- Provides an antimicrobial barrier to protect wound bed
